Some residents in Jensen Beach Florida reported seeing an alligator on Saturday afternoon May 31 in a swimming pool which deputies with the Martin County Sheriffs Office (MCSO) answered an emergency call to remove the alligator from the swimming pool. The MCSO deputies asked professional trapper Matt Hines to come to the Pinecrest Lakes neighborhood to remove the alligator from the swimming pool safely. The deputies mention that the alligator was able to enter the swimming pool by climbing under the fence or climbing over the fence. No one was hurt in the incident which is a good thing. I wouldn't like to be sharing a swimming pool with an alligator.

It was an attraction to the alligator, who might have thought that it was full of fish for its breakfast. Fences around pools should not have gaps under them, as even a young child could crawl under one too, and drown in the pool.

You are right that a young child could get hurt crawling under a fence around a pool.
