It will take a while

I am sure I will get used to this laptop. It does not even know what time it is. It is sixteen hours ahead.
I told it where I live, but that did not help. I will figure it out sooner or later.
We have light rain again today. Bummer.
I will go read and respond for a while now.

If you need help with your new laptop, please let me know and I'll do my best to help you.
We had thick fog for quite a while this morning but it has lifted and we just have heavy clouds that are hanging right above our heads here. It started sprinkling a few minutes ago. This afternoon we may have storms again.
I got an unscheduled wake-up call a little while ago. OACAC called and scheduled two guys to come and work on the house again. I'm not sure how much they'll get done but, hopefully, most of the work will be done soon. (They'll be here the 17th, 18th and the 21st of this month.)
Hope you have fun today.

I knew if I needed help I could ask you. I managed to get the right date and time set now and that was what was really bugging me. I have most of my passwords etc. in memory. It is mostly a matter of logging in everywhere to make sure. And getting used to the different touch. Yay for getting the work done.

@GardenGerty I'm glad you got that part figured out, at least.
I used Notepad on my phone to keep track of my passwords and the sites they go with and told my laptop to remember them for me.

I followed set up protocols and prompts. It did not cover that. I went hunting and found where to fix it.

I have had some I loved, one I hated. This one may be in between, but I want to travel and I want to be able to be online.

"chucked a wobbly" is a new phrase for me, but I gather from context that it decided to misbehave in some way.

@GardenGerty Yes, that's correct. I wonder what other phrases we don't share?

I'm glad you figured out how to set the time. You will be a whiz on the new laptop before long.

This laptop is lightweight so it will be easy to take on trips. I am also going to troubleshoot the problem with my desktop.

Yes, my desktop cannot seem to connect to the ethernet. I needed to up grade to Windows 11, so I bought a laptop. I may be able to fix my desktop.

Yes, it is all new and different. I went ahead and did this because I also needed to upgrade to Windows 11.

Yes, I will. I had been putting off getting a laptop, but I am glad I did.
