Disoriented Day. Have you ever had one?

I had one of those days today when I was just out if synch. Have you ever had one of those? I left my $4,000 Collings guitar in the back of my truck last night and today. Can you guess what happened? Right. Absolutely nothing. The weather was temperate, there was no rain, and nobody stole it. Today, my schedule at Guitar Center was weird. We have added new instructors, and new students, and I sometimes have no idea what room I'm teaching in, or whether they even have a room for me. The other day, I taught a lesson in the High End guitar sales room. I called a student another student's name today. I was confused. Tonight, I took drastic measures. I put my dishes in and am currently running the dishwasher. It is one of the most soothing sounds in my life. My childhood bedroom was above the kitchen, and the sound of the dishwasher running makes me feel safe. Have you ever had a day when you were a bit "overwhelmed"?

I'm glad your day at work is done and you managed to get through it without losing a student or having trouble with another teacher. I'm glad your guitar didn't get stolen. I hope you're in bed, sound asleep and dreaming of giving Kitty lots of love and scratches.
I haven't felt overwhelmed in a number of years... Not since I was working in Walmart one day when someone paged me over the loudspeaker, telling me they needed me in five places at the same time. I yelled back at the speaker that I was only one person and they needed to get somebody else to do those things because I was already busy with a customer. The manager of the Sporting Goods department paged out that people were needed in Electronics immediately.
I took care of the customer I was working with and somebody else took care of the other things.

I've had a couple of those days recently.
I don't like it. But it generally doesnt last more than a day or two with me.
The dishwasher? Do you not use the dishwasher often? I guess you woundn't with it just being you?

@TheHorse But do you do them by hand or dishwasher usually? We have a dishwasher and five of us in the house, and i hand wash everything.

You are so lucky that your guitar wasn't stolen. I was overwhelmed when I had something scheduled just about every day. But now the projects are done for now. I hope you have a good Sunday.

Oh! Can certainly relate to that. I have been there. I do have those disoriented and overwhelming days, especially when I am late and in hurry.

@TheHorse Are they trying to accommodate more classes at the same time? That can create confusion.

I'm so glad your guitar is safe and sound! That reminds me to go lock my car. My husband forgot to lock it when we came home Thursday night and I just discovered that today when I went to get the mail.
I've had days like that before. Thankfully, they are few and far between!

You had my heart racing a little there.
I've had way too many days when I felt "overwhelmed". To the point of anxiety and even some days when I had a good panic attack. They are fewer now, but I used to run to the other side of the house when someone knocked on the door. PTSD at its finest.
