Trump's stupid ego-stroking military parade may be canceled due to weather

This Saturday is the birthday of the US Army. It also happens to be Trump's birthday. He has wanted a grand military parade like the one held in France when he was there for a state visit during his first term. Preliminary plans were drawn up but ultimately the idea was scrapped due to the cost and concern about the weight of tanks and other military equipment on the roads in Washington DC. Not really sure what the difference is on either of those things now (hello DOGE??) but a whole big spectacle is planned for Saturday. That being said there is said to be a lack of interest by the public in it as evidenced by the availability and price of hotel rooms in the area. As is always the case many people signed up for tickets with absolutely no intention of actually attending. And supposedly there is supposed to be rain and storms that day. We all know how Trump feels about the rain. It would be a convenient, face-saving excuse for them to cancel the event and blame the weather. Still it would be a further incredibly unnecessary expense for an administration that is supposedly so worried about the debt.

Isn't the Pope hosting something as well on that day? I guess Trump didn't like the possibility of being overshadowed either.

Yeah, I read somewhere that it is costing American tax payers more than a million dollars to host this vanity parade. Absurd. And some to the gear is already there, meaning that some of the money the money has been spent.

He has run out of things to blame The weather is therefore as good as anything But if it's really stormy then maybe it would be best cancelled anyway
