L.A. Protests Shows the Need for the National Guard

I was around at a time long ago during the Vietnam War protests where the escalation of violence could be squarely placed on law enforcement. Not anymore. What ever happened to sit-ins, "teach-in" rallies, chanting, protest songs, and an occasional burning of a draft card.
Now every protest rally is a chance to disrespect, spit at, and physically confront police who are there doing their job to protect the citizens in their communities. Does every demonstration have to turn into a George Floyd sequel?
Is throwing concrete and Molotov Cocktails, fireworks, looting stores, lighting cars on fire, closing freeways, defacing buildings and destroying public property to air your views really what passes for a "Democratic" peaceful 1st Amendment assembly?
According to LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell backpacks weren’t just backpacks—they were mobile arsenals. “We’ve seen in those backpacks that they’ll have hammers, they’ll break up curb stones and concrete bollards, break up into smaller pieces, which they’ll then throw at police.” “They put them in backpacks and walk around like that.”
The Chief continued, “I’ve seen somebody today walking around with golf balls in a backpack, so all sorts of weapons, all very potentially dangerous.”
And when the riots and insurrection behavior end who wins... nobody. Citizens and police are injured, people jailed, store owner's businesses destroyed, people who actually have jobs inconvenienced, and property costs incurred.
In addition, because these immigrants are here illegally (a proportion of them with a criminal background), and since the majority of Americans favor deportation, their cause lacks both popular opinion and legitimacy.
I am so disillusioned with the Democratic Party's silence and acceptance of these violent riots. These same Democrats who use government funds to support activist organizations who infiltrate these type demonstrations and act as agitators, as they quietly hope the chaos will hurt the Trump administration, yet the only ones who really are affected are the inhabitants of those cities where these protests occur.
Only an anarchist who hates our country could support the Democrat's agenda. The mainstream (legacy) media is just as bad, making excuses for the riots and justifying this violence.
So much for peaceful protest!

People have a right to peacefully protest. It is when a protestor tries to harm someone like a police officer, then all bets are off.

I don't know much about it
But George Floyd sequel seems a good description.

People were peacefully protesting. It is their right to do that. Then they got stomped on and know what? That hurts physically. Democrat or Republican or purple or polka dotted, getting stomped on hurts. Yeah they reacted back. They are human and they want their American rights honored.
