...And the Sign Said

It seems that no matter where we go, we are bound to see various signs telling us we should mind this, that or the other thing, or concern ourselves with something, or be warned about something. I encountered one such sign at a local restaurant that said, "Please put down the lid when finished using the toilet." Granted, it's a request that's common in our house, but I did find it odd that it was worthy of a sign anywhere in public. Nonetheless, it was apparently enough of a concern for the restaurant owner that they felt compelled to request this from their guests using the facilities. What intrigues me more often than some of the signs happens to be the cleverness of those who read them. Someone took the time to write below it in an empty space on the sign, "You are a bad, ugly toilet lid." I don't know if the guest who wrote that on the sign actually closed the lid when he was through using the toilet, but I think he certainly successfully managed to at least put the lid down.

That second 'writing' was very funny. What a clever response.

I’ve seen a sign that said if you pee on the toilet seat you have to wipe it. It was written in rhyme. I forgot the exact words though. Is this your leaning tower of tp?

Now I am curious what that rhyme was. lol. As for the TP tower, that was at my sister's house. She told her son to fill the toilet paper holder before there would be company, and that's what he did. lol

My favorite sign was a hand-written one at a bar in Hilger Montana. I believe it read, "Toilet broken. Piss in sink."
