The fragrance fills the room...

Good afternoon from this side of the planet. It's 5:30 PM and I just got up from my second nap of the day. Well, the first one was after my breakfast, taking care of few things while walking slowly around the house. I am not climbing stairs yet, just a few steps from last few days after the doctor's advice. I will slowly increase it and hopefully by this month end, I should be able to go upstairs at least once in the night to my bedroom. Till then the guest room downstairs is my place.
I have been taking a few naps in the daytime since my surgery. It was more during the first 2_3 weeks because of the painkiller and sedative. I would sleep, eat and walk around as I was supposed to walk few times for better recovery.
Now, I am more active doing all the light chores around the house. And my naps and napping time has reduced. I took one before my lunch for 30 minutes and then one now for another 40 minutes.
It's 5:40 PM and I am waiting for my husband to have our evening tea. Till he makes it and calls me to join, I can be here
.
Hope that you are having a good weekend in your myLot corner. It's raining on and off here in the last few days and the weather is gloomy.
Well, I have something cheering me up on this gloomy day. And you see that in the picture here. It's a bowl full of harshrinagar or prajita flower. It's a flower of the Jasmine family with the orange colour in the stalk.
I have not seen my garden upstairs in the last one month. My husband is not loud with his expressions for caring. He is a man of less words. But his actions show it
. And today he got these fragrant beauties and put it on the side table of my bed. Oh! It smells and feels heaven here.
Moving to reading your posts. Seems like my husband is caught up with some work and I might have to wait a little more for tea

You seem to be feeling better and I'm sure you aren't feeling better fast enough in your opinion.
It has been storming and raining here for the last few days but it is supposed to be sunny later today. We shall see...
That is a beautiful bowl of flowers.
Have a good evening/night.

@arunima25 I'm glad you're feeling good and hope your recovery is almost done.
If we got sunshine today, it happened when I was asleep. Every time I go outside or look out my bedroom window, it's either raining or is cloudy and we have no sunshine.
At our last house, we often brought in flowers and set them in vases around the house. The last time we did that here, the flowers caused us to have allergic reactions so no flowers inside our house anymore. All the plants in the house now don't flower. They're just pretty greenery in the kitchen.

@DaddyEvil Just few more weeks to go slow, safe and steady. The worse is over.
If you have allergies, better not to have flowers indoors. Adore them from a distance. I love to have fresh flowers in vase. But I have no heart to cut them from the plant. So, I love it when I get fresh flowers bouquet.

6 weeks are almost over post surgery. I am feeling good. Doctor asked to go slow and safe for next few weeks. I am feeling happy with my recovery
I hope that you got some sun there as predicted. We have no sun in the last few days. It's rainy and drizzling or just being cloudy.
These flowers have very light soothing fragrance and it lasts for long.

I have Parijat and two varieties of Jasmine. This one has a very light soothing smell, I don't find it overpowering. My husband is a man of gestures and actions, no or little words. How I wish he would use words too. That would be nice too

Yes, he is. Very caring! Well, I agree that words too would have been nice. I keep reminding him of that
. But then each one is different. And married for so long, we develop that understanding for each other

Hopefully you enjoyed the Tea with your husband.
We got Two bathrooms of ours cleaned through Urban Company service.
It took a good enough time.
The flowers look great.
These are loved by many for their looks and fragrance.
Good to know of your recovery.
Your good speed recovery also means that you can gradually become more active online and also in your regular work.
We are still awaiting for good rains.
High heat and humidity is testing us a lot. Even switching off the AC for 10/15 minutes is causing discomfort today.
In such a case, we start remembering the winter time.

Yes, I did enjoy the tea. My niece has got a nice tea from a very expensive brand. I have to see the box, can't recall the name. She gifted this on my birthday. I find it good but husband finds nothing special for the cost thar it has
. He feels Taj Mahal and Tata are the best.
Urban company is good. We have used their cleaning service few times and it was good. I will use their service very soon.
These flowers have light soothing fragrance thar lasts so long. .
I wish I could send some rain that side. We had enough in the last few days. It's actually a bit cold here today
My mom is in Delhi. Yesterday, she took my niece for her swimming class at 8 in the morning. She sat outside under the tree till the class got over. Even at that early hours, the heat has made her sick. I talked to her yesterday and she did sound really sick of the heat.

That is such a loving gesture. :) Yes, Parijat flowers are beautiful and they have heavenly scent, faint but pleasing. Unfortunately, these flowers die very fast. Have you ever come across Bakul flower? I like its scent too. Kevada is another scent so Indian. And of course the Indian cork tree.

My grandparents had Bakul flower in the backyard. I don't remember seeing kevada but I know the fragrance. One of our household help who took care of cows uses to have kewada perfume. And I could withstand that, in fact liked it. My husband and I are not good with artificial perfumes, we develop headache. He even gets sneezing.

@arunima25 The flowers of Indian cork tree they have scent like jasmine. Hyderabad ..we have plenty of those. :) I used to pick those when I used to go to my first office. So I would be slightly late during rainy season. Colleagues would say, she is very busy...picking flowers on road. LOL Kevada is strong. I agree.
Though everybody would like men to express in words, the problem is, men who are good in expressing love in words are also good in straying. So be satisfied. LOL

This one has very light and soothing fragrance, not overpowering at all. Even the Jasmine that we have has very light fragrance. My husband and I can't withstand very strong smells. We get headache.
