Rainy Father’s Day

It’s Father’s Day here in the US and a rainy day in NYC. Third year without celebrating it with my dad. Miss him! Went to my in-laws’ to celebrate the holiday with hubby’s dad. Unfortunately his dad had to go to work so we are going to have dinner without him. We decided to order in. Not a festive day this year…

I too miss my kids yesterday they wished me I felt like out of the world being a father is amazing thing but I am not there with kids which feels me bad.

It's sad when you can't be with your kids. Our boys are far away but they get in touch regularly.

@JudyEv I too call them regularly may it be just for 5 mins we talk, they tell me about how was the day at school, what they did n all.

I know the feeling well, I miss my Dad, too. I keep him close to my heart. I know it is hard.

He is buried in the cemetery close to my house. There’s no entrance to it by my house though. I have to go all the way to the other side to get there. And I only go there if hubby drives me. There is no sidewalk where the front of the cemetery is. And then from there it is a long walk. I never attempt to go there on foot.

@lovebuglena I am sure you and your family all miss him a lot. My family are all buried at least a 2 hour drive from me, so I cannot go to the cemetery often. I try to go twice a year.

Yes I did. Luckily hubby’s dad came home from work while we were still at their house so we got to spend a bit of time with him.
