Trump Didn't Order the Parade

Ah. Facts. How they tend to always get in the way of narratives, and once again, I ask, where the hell is the media to report this stuff accurately and factually? But of course, you can't tell stories you want to if facts get in the way of what you want people to believe.
President Donald Trump did not order the parade. The U.S. Army requested it in commemoration of their 250th birthday and filed their request with the Biden administration in June of 2024, which was approved by the Biden administration at the time to allow it to happen.
Granted, Trump's parade turned out to be bigger than what was originally requested, but the fact is that President Joe Biden approved the parade, and it was not Trump's idea.
Any more than it wasn't Trump's idea to create the Space Force, it wasn't Trump's idea to buy Greenland, or so many other things that the media consistently wants to paint as the "ideas of a madman."
I think it's always important to do a little digging for ourselves, you know. Because clearly there will always be people who want to lead us in certain directions and to certain places. And it's never fun to walk around with egg on our faces.

Ah, yes... thinking for yourself. It's become a novel concept. Sad really.

Indeed. Too many people are lead around like sheep willingly and never bother to check to see if what they are being told is actually true or made up, or slightly true and so on and so forth. I thought gullibility was an uncommon trait among people. I am starting to question that.

@porwest It's more common then most people think, especially when a hated person is also the commander and chief of the country.

@kaylachan Which begs another question for me. When did we get to a point where there was THIS much hatred and division? There's always going to be a president in office we didn't vote for, or that we disagree with on policy. But to this extent? That's a new thing. It's also a scary thing. As has long been said, united we stand, divided we fall. And we can still be united even if we disagree with who is currently sitting in the Oval Office.
I didn't like the way Biden was running the country, but never once did I ever hate him. I simply stated what I disagreed with regarding policy and why I disagreed with it. But I also didn't immediately disregard any policy issues of his administration simply based on the fact that he was Joe Biden. I took a step back, as we all should, and evaluated the policy issue on its merit.
Never once have I ever felt, "I can't agree something is good just because he's a Democrat and I didn't vote for him."

@Ineeddentures I think there will come a day. But it won't be now. MAYBE never. But...never say never.

I knew they had tried to buy Greenland before right enough
But as Mick Jagger so correctly pointed out
You can't always get what you want
Oh and Stormy had a Jagger quote for DJ lol
I can't get, no satisfaction!!!
Am I funny?

Nothing has made sense with how things are taken out of context and spun for years now. Some of the things you couldn't make up even.

That's your excuse for that embarrassing failure? If Sleepy Joe did approve it, then he gets the credit for the protests, too, which were a massive success.
It doesn't matter who approved it. Trump ran it, and that's why it failed.
I did love the way he looked like he was about to slash his wrists and then fell asleep during the fireworks.

Funny how arguments change according to what side of the aisle you happen to be on.
Take the Afghanistan withdrawal which was an utter embarrassment, deadly, and a disaster.
What did the left say?
It wasn't Biden's fault because Trump set it up.
But Biden was president and could have done it his way or changed the date. But he didn't. So, he was given a pass because supposedly Trump set it up but now Trump is at fault for something Biden set up?
One thing Democrats are awesomely great at are contradictions.

Yes, it's so strange that the convicted felon gets blamed for so much.

@xander6464 Bill gates, Mark Wahlberg, Tim allen, plenty of famous convicted felons. But lets blame it on Trump

@xander6464 Convicted for crimes that were made up. Not according to me. According to a handful of law scholars who have spoken on this, including Alan Dershowitz, a life-long liberal Democrat who did not vote for nor support Donald Trump.

These days many seem to just go with what mass media tells them. And they automatically assume what they hear is 100% true.

@porwest Here’s something to ponder... If we aren’t there ourselves to witness something happening how do we know it really happened? And who do we trust to tell us what really happened?

@lovebuglena As people, we have to be ever vigilant, and that means, we should WANT to know the truth, and actually make the time and effort to find it. Most people don't do that. They just lazily plod around like sheep.
