Glam it Up!

Sorry Mylotter friends that I haven't posted anything in awhile. Been busy between work and my job search, which is now 10 months long. Will try to update and post new stuff all this week, every now and then. So I thought I would start with this one for sure. Glam it up! That's what my new job coach Lauri and my job counselor Raenell have told me last month for our job development meeting. Raenell also gave us money to go shopping and have a haircut five weeks ago. Though my hair is shorter, it has a curly bounce to it. Out of three photos from Pinterest, I showed it to Lauri and then my hair stylist at Great Clip for my haircut. Then, from there, we went shopping at Burlington Coat Factory and Ross Stores for a new wardrobe for interviews, and possibly for work at an office soon. Then we went to Marc's to grab some other items like bras, dress socks, and even nail polish. It has been a long time since I wore nail polish, so I've been polishing my nails again. A little over a week ago, I purchased a bag of nail polish at Goodwill for $8, 30 bottles total with my birthday discount. But I believe these are vintage or discounted nail polish, since some bottles have no labels, or had to find online, except for eBay. But I did see a new bag there for $4.00 that I might get later this week. But that wasn't enough. To consider applying for a receptionist job at Great Clips or any hair/nail salon, or even at any office, I have to get glammed it with make-up. Though it have been a long time since I've worn make-up, I'm practicing it again to wear to work, to church, and even for job interviews.I purchased a couple of cosmetics at my local Acme last week, and ordered the rest from Ulta Beauty (two from same-day delivery, the rest being delivered this week), and doing a sample glam bag from Ipsy to get my supplies. Today for work, I've worn primer, concealer, eyeshadow and lip gloss, even to my job development meeting right after it. And yes I know they're expensive. I've heard from my church friend Kathy yesterday morning, consider getting them on sale. So I'll be checking out Walmart,CVS, Walgreens, Acme, Giant Eagle, and my Discount Drug Store (here in Ohio) for their sales. The next step for me to glam it up is jewelry. I've worn a pearl nickname. But since my pierced earrings have been closed for many years, I'll be wearing clip-ons and ordering them from Target next weekend. I'll also get a caboodle for my make-up and nail polishes and a make-up glam bag as well. And then do perfume. So maybe next week, I'll apply to Great Clips next week. So how often do you glam it up with make-up, nail polish, perfume? Occasionally, daily, often? And what nail polishes and make-up do you use and wear?

So how often do you glam it up with make-up, nail polish, perfume? Well I have to say that the most I ever glam up is never. I do nothing. I sometimes wipe the visor on my crash helmet and polish my bike boots I shave once a week

I am never glammed up. Give me jeans, a tee-shirt and ball cap and I am ready to hit the town.

I am a female rebel and always will be. I refuse to glam up. Ever. Some of that make up is not good for your skin. I hated it when my Mom said she had to "put on her face" even if she was going to a garage sale. She was a human and didn't need a mask to go out. I wish you luck in your job search.

I might wear foundation, powder and lipstick if I go out. That's about it. I'm sure you'll look really good with all the glamming up you're doing.
