Good morning from this side of the planet. It's 8:20 AM here. And another cold, gloomy and wet morning. I am not happy about this. I really want the sun out. But weather predictions say orange alert for rain for next few days . My younger daughter has left for her first day of University exam. Time flies. She has completed two semesters and successfully completed first year at college. My elder daughter is still sleeping. Well, that's what she does for most of the time when she comes for vacation.. Her room looks like a college hostel room now. She has to go for driving practice with her dad in the noon tike, when traffic is a bit manageable. With this nocturnal animal, driving practice at early morning hours is a plan that will never get into action . I have nothing much to do today. I have one online counseling session in the afternoon for an hour. Slowly getting back to work mode, starting online from the comfort of home. In the last five weeks, I got to pause and slow down for my post operative care. And I beautifully utilised this time to do some art. Complete few orders. They are happy with the outcome and seeing the picture I put on my WhatsApp, I got two more orders. It helps me to heal, distract from the discomfort be it physical or mental. Art is really therapeutic. I hope that the picture uploads. I got some error message, trying to upload it with my last post. This is Madhubani art( a local art form) with two fish. Hope all is well in your myLot corner. Enjoy your time. Stay happy and healthy.

I got that error message, too. I'd say we can't upload photos at this point. I agree about art. I have begun simple drawing and am amazed at how relaxing it is to attempt to draw a flower. I used to just be a stick figure type of person but my daughter is encouraging me. She is the artist. I am the writer. Still, it's been relaxing.

You can try uploading pictures now. I could do that as you can see it. I even uploaded picture for my last post that I made yesterday. Yes, art is relaxing. And once you get hooked to it, you enjoy it. I am sure that you are enjoying learning the new art form. It's relaxing. And learning a new art form is good for brain too, it relaxes us.

Yes. That's Bangalore weather and you get those gloomy weather any time of the year, it's unpredictable. Bangalore does not have any clear demarcation of season. Rain can happen anytime of the year. Yes, art is therapeutic. Good for focus and relaxing our brain. I am able to upload the picture now. Seems like the issue is resolved.

I like art and I like doing art with children. Teaching them to create is great.

I agree there. I will get art incorporated into all my lesson plans in some way or the other. I use a lot of art therapy with adults and children.

Good morning... I'm glad your youngest has completed her first year in college. I'm sure the rest of college will go well for her. As far as your elder daughter and her driving practice, your hubby might have a good time driving by himself at noon. I'm glad doing artwork is helping you feel useful and I'm sure people love your work. Pictures load for some people but not for others. It's very frustrating. I hope you have a wonderful day.

@arunima25 The artwork is very nice but I already knew it would be. You showed us some of your artwork last year, I believe. As long as your daughter has support, I'm sure she'll do well in school and in life afterwards. Your older daughter got lucky, then, and got to sleep late.

@DaddyEvil Thank you. Glad that you liked it. As a parent and family, we are doing the best and not leaving any stone unturned for both our girls. She was excited to go for driving. Rain and thunder ruined it.

Coming this far is a big achievement for her. Because of her spectrum, she couldn't fit in regular school and I had to homeschool her with help of Waldorf curriculum. I am really proud she has fit in a regular college with all her quirkiness and not so good social skills. She is a go getter and doesn't give up easily. Her autism is a blessing in many way, she is focused and very quick with picking details. She is good academically, amongst the best ones. But it is a constant counselling for her to carry on with all overwhelming that she gets in such big set up. But she is doing good and we keep fingers crossed for the future. Their driving got cancelled . It was pouring and later my husband got caught up in work. Finally, I could upload the picture after few trials. You can have a look. Even uploaded the picture for the post I made yesterday.
