I'm Still Around

Every day, I am listing and selling things for my son, packing and getting ready for our last day here (June 30th), at this leased house. They sold the house, so we couldn't get one more month extension.
The other still won't be ready to move into, so we are going camping for four nights and stay at some fun Harvest Host farms.
I pulled my travel trailer out of storage and been working on it. Replaced a glass panel that fell out of the cabinet above my bed, sealed the outside, cleaned with wood soap and oil, and more. It's ready to roll but need to replace a jack that got bent last winter in the bomb cyclone.
It comes down but so badly warped.
I don't have anything interesting to write about right now. It's been constant work, but wanted to pop in and say I'm enjoying all of your discussions. I just haven't been talking much since there are so many interruptions here.
We did take a break today and go see "How to Train a Dragon." It was a fun movie and they kept it close to the original story.
I'm looking forward to not listing and selling anything for a little while. I'm over a lot of the people that come out on the marketplace.
Have a great week, everyone.

Marketplace can be a circus, I agree.
I'm glad you still have the camper since you do have a need for it right now. I know moving is just a ton of work. I'm glad to see you here, and hope that the move goes smoothly for you.

Thank you. I should have taken a hosting position for July since finding reservations is hard but the parks close to me only has one available and they have no sewer dump and no service so I said no. We hoped we could have went directly to the house but the final permit guy is taking forever.

Well, no sewer service and such would be troublesome and time consuming, I would have said no, too. But the camper option is much better than having to stay in a hotel, etc.

@MarieCoyle We only have four nights set up with electric to run the AC. Everything else is Harvest Host and have to move around a lot and in the heat. There is nothing where it's cooler. It's not a good option when it's like an oven and can't find any place to park. They told us we are looking at the end of August before everything is ready to move into the house. I have two of my young grandchildren with me so trying to figure it out. I can do it alone. Done it before but have to think of their safety. I can't pull far either. My engine light is on again. No money to fix.

I don't blame you... When Pretty came home from college, she started listing all kinds of things to sell on eBay and other places... Then I had to take the items, pack them and take them to the Post Office and send them off. Some people don't pay attention to the descriptions about the items and get mad because they aren't what they thought they would be and tried to get Pretty to reduce the price or send them other items in "compensation"...
I got fed up with people long before she did.
I hope you both enjoy the camping and don't stress over getting moved.

@noni1959 Some people don't read anything and imagine an item can do more or is more than it really is. She spent more in shipping and return shipping than some items were worth... And I was the one paying for shipping until she started putting on her items that there were no returns and she started charging more for shipping. After that, things got better.
But I was still the one who had to package the items and drive them to the Post Office.

There are so many scammers on eBay, I worry. I usually have 20 plus listings a day on Marketplace. I am so over people. I'm glad I'm making him money, but need a huge break. I'm sorry Pretty has gone through that. I put no refunds on mine and to look carefully and ask questions. For jewelry or expensive items, I ask for signature required and I let them know in bold large print before bidding. But, there is always people that don't read and bid/purchase. I add video for items when I can. I just want to be done with selling for awhile. It's a lot of work.

@DaddyEvil It is definitely a lot of work. I have left the other house June 30th and been camping since. No selling. Taking a break. All the sales I've done on eBay the last few weeks were positive so breathing a sigh of relief.

Nice to see you too. The camping if four days. It's all the park had available due to high reservation volume. After, we have to move around to Harvest Host locations until July 10th. I have to look for more after that but we are seeing if the permit comes through and we can grade the road and I just take the trailer up on the property.

@LindaOHio We camped at one park and then went to our property and camped three nights. Came to another state park to hook up and have some fun and heading back to the property Thursday. The county guy said we can stay there while waiting on the construction. Thankfully, we have generators and a dump place is close.

I never have anything interesting to write about, so that's okay.
