Comfort Food.

Comfort food, to me, is like a warm hug on a hard day. It’s not always healthy, but it always feels right. Sometimes it’s a bowl of hot soup, a cheesy pasta, a buttered toast with coffee, or even a pancake. Other days, it’s something sweet—like banana bread or a scoop of ice cream late at night. But for me, cake and coffee are my go-to comfort foods. DO you have any go-to comfort food?

Ube cake is no. 1 for me, and Sprite. I also want cinnamon rolls when I feel desolate. But I no longer find them often. Where did all the cinnamon rolls go?

We all have comfort foods... When I was little and didn't feel well, mom would try giving me different things to eat to see what would stay down... The one things that I didn't throw up was mashed potatoes... I still ask Pretty to make some for me when I have an upset stomach. (Pretty doesn't like to cook for me but sometimes will make mashed potatoes for me.)

Oh, I definitely have my own list too — though it’s such a wide variety that just thinking about it is already making me hungry! ?? If I start listing them down, I might end up raiding the fridge or ordering something I shouldn’t! But I totally get you — there’s just something magical about cake and coffee. It’s like they whisper, “You’ve had a day… come sit, breathe, and just enjoy this moment.” Sometimes, comfort food really knows us better than we know ourselves!

Fried chicken, but I rarely have it. It’s too fattening. Unfortunately!

If I'm talking about "real food" it would be meatloaf. If we're talking sweets then it's ice cream.
