Good morning myLot

Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 74 degrees F and sunny here at the Jersey Shore. The high for today is 91 but we are supposed to get storms this afternoon. I will have to finally break down and turn on the AC because I can't deal with humidity any longer.
Today is my 1st official day off so of course I woke up at 5am. 
I rolled over and lounged for a solid hour before getting up. What a luxury! So I'm up now. I ate some leftover lasagna bolognese for breakfast. (totally normal right?)
No big plans for the day. My BIL is supposed to come over to change out the batteries in the smoke detectors. I don't have a step ladder and wouldn't be able to get up on it anyway even if I did. 2 of the 3 have been chirping off and on for days. For now they are quiet but I just want the batteries changed so if it happens again I can get maintenance to replace them. One had to be changed out a year or 2 ago. My ex said sometimes they "fail" which I didn't know was a thing. But at least if I can say that there are brand new batteries in them then they will just change them out.
Depending on when he gets here and gets done (I *might* have a few other things for him to help me with ) I might go over to my aunt and uncle's house to soak in their pool since the one here isn't open until next week at least. We shall see on that. In any case I don't have to work so it will be a good day. 
What's everyone else up to today?

I wondered if your body would let you sleep in today... 
(That's what happens to me every time I don't have to get up early for anything... I'm wide awake and can't go back to sleep easily.)
It is 68F in my part of Missouri today and we're looking at a high of 85F... The humidity is 100% right now and we have the AC running.
The workmen have meetings all day today so nothing will get done on the house today. Tracking online shows that our new gas mower should be at our local Walmart this afternoon so we can pick it up.
We have a couple of "errands" to run today; some grocery shopping needs to be done, I want to buy some new decorative gourd seeds (the ones I had leftover from a couple of years ago aren't sprouting) and we need to go see my brother for a little bit.
As far as I know, we don't have anything else we need to do.
