It's Up

But I didn't put the top on as it's been very windy today. I do have 2 of the sidewalls on it. They have stayed in place good today. I did put the chairs against the one to be safe. So now I am back to getting one of those tables at the auction tomorrow. I can even put some decorations or plants on it. I am actually thinking about getting a heavy duty tarp to put over the top. The frame will hold it at a good height and the tarp won't tear as easily as the canopy material would. I can hook a tarp right to the house. It finally got sunny this evening. So I have the light in the pond now. I will be able to tell in a couple of days if it is helping. I sure hope so. I hate changing my filter material in the spring when the water is still very cold. That is when the algae starts growing. I did do a little mopping today too. Being stuck inside is good for the house at least. Hope you had a good day.

I'd be worried the tarps would block the breezes trying to blow through... I've done dishes twice so far today, cleaned counters and the stove. I did take a good nap earlier. And then swept the kitchen floor... I'm getting hungry and it's time for lunch... Don't know what I'll have yet and don't know what to make for late dinner, either. Hope you have a good evening/night.

@DaddyEvil House cleaning question: when you are cleaning the inside of the stove do you take the door off? A friend told me I would have better and easier luck at cleaning the stove interior if I took the stove door off. I worry about getting the door back on. (I have tons too much trouble messing with stove racks.)

@sallypup No, I don't. The doors are always a little difficult to get back on after you take them off. You could always suggest your friend show you how they do it when your stove needs to be cleaned... Make sure you have lots of cleaning supplies on hand so they can't back out of the "demonstration".

@DaddyEvil The friend who told me that lives in Ohio. I'd better leave well enough alone.

Looks really good Eva. A heavy duty tarp might actually be a good idea. Being stuck inside is ok for posting on here. We were out this afternoon McDonalds and shilling and a bike ride

Hooray! I took a walk today…I figured I’ll be stuck inside next week with the heat and humidity.

We had a pretty day and I was able to get outside and enjoy the fresh air for awhile!! I looked at some of those tents/carports on the website, but could not find the thickness of the material anywhere. It's going to need to be heavy duty for what the hubby will need it for.

That will be a nice sized outside area for relaxing in. You've been working hard again.

That's a really good idea to get a heavier tarp to put over the top.
