Mylotter friends, here's a mini work update to share with you all. Three weeks ago, my boss Anita had quit Goodwill, and walked on the job. It was nice knowing her for six months. She was kind to me, and also had helped me gotten me to be accommodated as a ware cart runner for five months now. And I do prefer it than being a presorter downstairs, which I only do as a filler while I'm waiting for a cart to run. No pressure to meet quotas at all. She also showed me how to sort and pre-sort shoes and accessories, except for tagging the accessories, and marking the soles with a colored pencil. I've heard that other coworkers didn't like her, since she picked on them. One of our coworkers was transferred to another store last month, because of the same issue as the others. So we're back to square one from last September, still at the same 9-2 time slot, until I can hopefully quit by Labor Day weekend. Like last fall, we've gotten a manager from another outlet store to help run the store along with our assistant manager, until a new manager is hired and in place. My current assistant manager Fulton was interviewed for the position last week, but I don't think he's going to take it, or interested in doing it. We also still need another keyholder to fill another gap for the past three months, So I don't think I won't be cross-trained to be a cashier or anything new, until we find out who our new manager is, probably next month. It's going to be a long summer. I just hope our new manager, whoever she or he might be, is nice to me and everyone. And then maybe we'll go back to our normal times by then.
