No Rain Day!

We had a "no rain day" today and it was very nice. We got up to 92 degrees and along with the high humidity it was HOT!
We got a few things done outside today. Hubby cleaned all 3 of Duke's water bowls and filled them back up.
I worked in the garden for a few minutes pulling weeds up. I then went and threw them in the chicken coop for a little treat for the chickens.
Then I picked up limbs, burned some trash and limbs. I still have plenty left to burn later. That is a never ending job here. Next, I tilled up the ground by one end of the chicken coop and planted some Marigold seed. Hoping they come up and help repel mosquitoes in the late evening.
Hubby worked on the Maxum and washed one side of it, dried it and then got the buffer and wax out to see its true color. I helped for a little while, but he didn't like my efforts. That's because he needs better pads on the buffer! Anyway, it's going to look really nice when completed. It is a nice dark red color similar to a cherry red. I picked out the new seats, which are cream with a red stripe on them. They should compliment the boat nicely.

Today cousin #2 is taking me to Urgent Care and then to get my hair cut.

We had a rain-free day. Well, it did rain about 4-5 AM, but the rest of the day, no rain. I drove son to his 2 appointments. We discovered the damage in our area was more than we thought it was. There are large trees uprooted in places, and still people without power (ours was out for quite some time) and there were power poles we could see from the interstate that were close to farms, etc. that were either at half-mast, or just on the ground. Lots of workers out trying to get everyone turned back on and fixed up.
Sounds like a hot day to be working outside, ugh! You and your fellow will have to be careful not to overdo in the heat!

It was very hot here, too. Saturday, supposed to be 96. I don't do well in this kind of heat.
