Deficits........and governments.......and austerity....and wars

When budget deficit increases, government goes hammer and tongs to prune the workforce and maybe reduce salaries.
But, it does not calculate losses in terms of life and resources destruction when going on war.
Doesn't make sense to me that government would cut on social expenses but spend a lot to fight wars.

An honest admission of it, and expressing that well, the country cannot employ so many in future, so don't have kids, or risk not getting help or being sent to the front. I feel sorry for everybody who hasn't enough to eat today. And it is because we are telling lies to self.

They want to keep the country standing that's the long and short of it. Doesn't need to make sense. Doesn't need to.

Governments only care about people when people make them care. It's easy to cut salaries because governments want to save money but then the government has to spend money supporting those people instead of them supporting themselves.
It doesn't make sense... But wars are fought by governments, not people.
