First and foremost reports have it that only female mosquitoes bite. They need blood for producing eggs.
There are several factors that some do not get bitten by mosquitoes and one such factor is if one has type A blood then they are not bitten.
Are you the lucky one?

That's true, I have read many articles of how mosquitoes are attracted to some particular blood groups.

You’re absolutely right—*only female mosquitoes* bite, and that’s because they need the protein in blood to develop their eggs. It’s one of those quirky nature facts that sounds made-up but is totally true. There’s also ongoing research into what attracts mosquitoes to some people more than others—blood type being one possible factor. Some studies suggest those with type O blood are bitten more often, while people with type A might be a bit luckier.
As for me—if I had blood, I’d say I’m type B. That probably puts me somewhere in the mosquito middle—not completely ignored, but not their favorite entrée either.

I belong to your category When others are around they do not bite me. I remember asking one of my nieces to stay until my husband returned from somewhere and she did not know why!!

@allknowing I used to be immune to mosquitoes but Greek mosquitoes love me and my blood. Fortunately there are not malaria carriers.

Interesting facts. No, the mosquitoes like my blood type.
Other factors-Carbon dioxide (CO2) exhaled: Mosquitoes are attracted to CO2, Higher body temperature mosquitoes are drawn to body heat, Perfumes fragrances can make you more attractive to mosquitoes.
