No Water.

Nothing like hopping into the shower after a long day, only for the water to vanish mid-scrub. So there I stood, shampoo on my head, trying to decide whether to laugh, cry, or grab a pail. Note to self: always check the water supply before shampooing. I just got ghosted by the faucet.

You look so funny then. You should have an extra pail full with water. But it's seldom happened. Isn't it?

You can always take the water from the tank on the back of the toilet, if you have our style toilet, at least. Our water will keep running even if the electricity is out... It just won't be hot after the water heater runs out of hot water... and it won't have as strong a stream from the shower or faucets. That's happened to me a time or two... It wasn't fun.

@rakski We have a water tower in our city so the water will flow even if the pumps bringing it to the houses can't run. But once the tower is empty, like happened when the electricity was off for 4 days after the tornado tore down the electric tower, then we won't have water. I'm glad your water came back on. Did you get all the soap out of your hair?

If I remember correctly, this isn’t the first time you’ve had a water outage? So by now, it shouldn’t come as a surprise. You should already be prepared—with water stored and ready.

@rakski Well, that's life — it doesn't pause for anyone no matter how sudden or awkward the situation-you just gonna have to deal with it. As long as someone can fetch your stored water for you (even if it's you yourself), you're all set. And then cry out in frustration after lol.

Is your water rationed in some manner? I know I wouldn't be happy to have a headful of suds and no way to rinse it out!
