Not In Front Of The TV.

If you are trying to lose weight , never eat in front of the television. You can become so caught up in the show you are watching that you don't even remember how much or what you have eaten.
What you do know is that while sitting there you keep reaching for something to eat, or drink... and the pounds keep piling on. Has that ever happened to you? Eating more than you should while watching TV? Where is your favorite place to eat?
I prefer to eat at the dining table, but that can be a lonely affair for those who live alone.
Even people who live with family members find that most of the time members are not around at the same time to have, breakfast, lunch or dinner.
And when they are, they are usually watching something on their phone or chatting on their phone - at the table...
What has been your experience?

Our dining table is so placed that watching TV while eating is quite a normal thing

I live in a small apartment. My TV is in the dining area. So, I usually eat while watching TV. I agree sometimes I eat more than I should.

We haven't had a television in almost 20 years. I tend to eat lying on my bed reading and I only bring what I plan to eat for the meal into my bedroom. (We gave away our dining room table and chairs when we moved into this house. We didn't have room for it here.)
I chat most of the time on my laptop and Pretty is in her bedroom talking online or playing online games.

My grand children have their faces in there phones all the time so phones are banned once you enter the dining room. I never eat in front of the TV as we always sit in the dining room for meals. That way you can hold a copnversation with people & interact. If the TV is in they will be busy watching it & no conversation takes place.
