Quick little trip to see my brother

Well Friday night is their "out to eat with friends" night, and they took us. We went to Longhorn Steak House.
Bob's verdict is "way too much salt" and steak not done right. It looked right to me.
I chose salmon on a bed of garlic rice. Sides of asparagus and roasted Brussels sprouts. I liked my meal a lot. The waitress got all our flavored teas mixed up and we swapped them around. Bob's was easy to distinguish though because his was cherry flavored and they put a cherry with a stem in the top of his.
The waitress was hyper about keeping our tea glasses full, so Bob and I did not sleep very well.
Sister-in-law has been sick with something like bronchitis and is taking a lot of medication prescribed by Urgent Care. Brother got sick Saturday after breakfast. It could be a med or it could be massive amounts of pollen. So we were very low key visiting.
We got up early Sunday and drove home to our church. Bob, of course, tried to go the wrong way. We made it just in time.
Today, Monday, I got up and Jane and I went for coffee, and thrifting as well, of course.

We mostly were able to travel at low traffic times, but we are careful.

Glad you didn't get sick, that would have been a bad ending to your trip.

I think mostly theirs is from medicine as well as pollen. She just got to where she could not breathe and brother took her to a walk in for prescriptions so it would not go into pneumonia.

@GardenGerty Pollen can affect people very badly. My dad was relaying when he was a little kid he had a hay fever attack so bad he thought he was going to die, and others in the house were worried as well. I wonder why they didn't take him to a doctor?

I'm sorry the visit didn't go as well as it could have and hope your brother and SIL both feel better quickly. I'm glad you made it home okay.

This heat and pollen sure can bring people down.

I love Longhorn, especially the Brussels sprouts and strawberry salad. You have to ask for light seasoning on your steak if you don't want it to salty or seasoned. I'm sorry SIL and brother are sick. I hope Jane is feeling well. Hope you're having a good week.

We know that about the seasoning now. One of the other ladies got the strawberry salad as her side salad. I loved the Brussels sprouts.

@GardenGerty Red Lobster has the Brussels sprouts too; but they aren't quite as good.
