People Tickle Me

Especially when it comes to social media. Man, I swear, when did we become such a world of weak, humorless, snowflakes? Really. I'm asking. So, this guy writes a post and quips, "There are to many stupid people in the world." Being the guy I am, I simply responded, "Not dissing your point or your post, but 'to' in the context you are using is spelled with two O's." I even included a bunch of emoticons signaling very clearly I was simply teasing him and not at all serious. He blocked me after responding, "That's it. Buhbye Felisa." Dammit, he blocked me before I could tell him "Felisa" is actually spelled, Felicia. Oh well. It's no sweat off my back. I've been blocked many times. Here, on Facebook, on X. I've never once cared one bit. As I like to say, "You do you, Boo Boo." I don't care. I just find it hilarious that I got blocked for a simple joke. Seriously people, can we just lighten up? Might do us all good to take a deep breath, I mean a really deep breath and just try to live a little and not be so serious all the time and be so easily bunched at our panty lines. Like Elbert Hubbard famously was quoted as saying, "Never take life too seriously. None of us will ever make it out of it alive."

I’ve always wondered why British English has a U in words like humor, color, etc. and American English doesn’t.

@lovebuglena I have no idea Lena But I assume that we are correct as America had no English speakers until 1607

So you pointed out his typo and simply because of that he blocked you?

Some people have no sense of humor. I don't like being corrected about my spelling and grammar since I think it's pretty good; but I certainly would not block you for it. I appreciate someone pointing out a typo; and I will correct it immediately.

Seems he can't "handle the truth" or a spell check.
