That Seems Worse...

Several years ago, someone I went to high school with, who I was friends with on Facebook had passed away, and considering his lifestyle (he was gay), I always assumed he probably committed suicide. He'd had a string of bad relationships, always seemed "awkward," and posted often about days feeling under the weather both emotionally and physically. Today, one of my other high school friends posted a "memorial" for Steve, and while I never asked anyone at the time when he died what happened, decided to ask her today. "Was it suicide?" I asked. Because that's what I was sure it likely was. She told me that he died sitting in his front yard eating a piece of beef jerky which he choked on. My gosh. That seems worse.
