I have good news here. Today I got up from bed and forgot to look for my cane to go to the bathroom. So I went without it.
And that, friends, means that I am not really needing the cane so much.
Then I looked at the news. But I got hooked on wonderful new about a Chilean born actor I love (Pedro Pascal). I haven´t seen him at movies but I like the way he talks about his roots and the way he supports his sister who is a transgender. Besides, he is good looking. 
So that made up for the disgusting political news.
Today is Humberto´s birthday. We´ll see what we can do during the weekend. It seems that the plans for my celebration with them will not be done. They are now in charge of most of their grandkids.

I'm glad you can get around a little better without the cane. I would just say becareful, my dad likes to move faster than he should and sometimes it ends up with him falling.

I park my cane in the living room now. I have to walk from my bedroom into the living room before I can use it. By the time I make it that far, I'm already past the bathroom and almost to the kitchen so I rarely grab the cane in the house now.
I'm glad you're doing better without yours, too.

I hope he has a nice birthday. I know you were looking forward to celebrating with him and a joint party. I’m sorry that’s not happening.

I don´t think that it is a good idea to celebrate with all of Dixie´s grandchildren. Dixie´s girls are away and they are in charge of the kids. Thry would not mix well with my friends who are several decades older.
