We did not go to do laundry

I have mostly just stayed inside and online. I went out to check on my plants and some starts I want to share with a friend. I took some laundry to the van, but my energy is lacking today. Tomorrow is better anyway because the new weekly sales will be on. It is likely I will try to do some stuff inside around the house after supper. Even Bruno is staying inside. It is not that unusual to have hot temperatures in Kansas at the end of June, but this humidity seems unusual and uncalled for. Other people I know say that all this rain now means we will have a drought this fall. I do not think we can really predict the weather. I know that some of you north and east of me are having things much worse.

Well weather apps don't seem very good at predicting the weather. Other day we drove past a field of cows Yvonne said it was going to rain I asked if she checked the weather.app She said yes, it said no chance of rain at all I asked her why she thought it would rain She said because the cows were lying down She was right, it fairly rained

We say that around here too when the cows are all laying down! It happens most of the time also!! They know! We should just get a cow to do the weather from now on!

@kareng Exactly. But it might be a real mess for someone to clean up in the studio on the telly

We seem to have one or two clear days then rain again. It is okay, just hot and sticky.

@GardenGerty No relief here in my area. I think it is just going to get hotter and stay that way for a good month or two.

We aren't getting the rain you've gotten there... I just keep hearing heat thunder and no rain. And yes, the humidity is a killer tight now. We aren't going outside except in the early morning and all I did today was take trash out to the curb.

I am thinking we have been taking turns. Sometimes you say you have rain and we have sun. Today, Wednesday, is sunny for us.

@GardenGerty We had storms yesterday and into the night. It is sunny today but supposed to get cloudy by this afternoon even though the forecast says no rain until Sunday.

I am just sorry you have to haul laundry around in this heat wave. Not fun. It was nearly unbearable outside the past few days.

It is not too bad. I look at it as it is saving me electric and water bills.

@GardenGerty I have a friend who lives in the next city close to me, and she uses a laundrymat. She says the cost is now $5 per load there to wash, and $4.50 to dry one load. She washes hers and takes them home wet to hang to dry.

I'm having the scheduled maintenance done on the A/C right now. It is what it is, and at least I'm blessed to have a working AC unit that keeps me comfortable.

We have had the high humidity and heat since last Saturday, it drains a person. Tonight we had a front come through and the temperature dropped and hopefully tomorrow will not be as hot or humid.

I would happily take that swap. In the past I have noted that we usually hit 100 F right around July 4. When I was younger and when we had window air I tended not to turn on a/c until it hit that mark. Now I need it at around 90.
