Lost in memories, some are funny ............ I hope / myLot

I think it must have been almost 15 or more years ago when I made a screen shot of the Cat in the Hat about aging. At the time I thought it was funny but I'm finding I can relate to some of it much better now at 75. Still, it's funny, right? I was fooling around on youtube when I came across this really old tune, I liked it back then and I still do, have you heard it before?

I recognize the song. The Cat in the Hat is all too true. I'm 77 now.

So far the worst part is that my hearing is getting bad but luckily I was born with no sense of smell so that isn't an issue. My mood has not changed much, I'm content if not happy most of the time.

@rebelann I'm sorry about your hearing. I've noticed that I need new glasses. Does having no sense of smell affect how and what you eat? I'm glad you are content. And you have fur babies to keep you company. I miss mine.

Thanks but for now it isn't so bad that I need hearing aids yet. I suppose it does as the spice oregano tastes like straw, no flavor what so ever.

I do not need to see one but I have noticed that if I do need one none of them know me so now I am trying to establish a relationship with one so that if something happens I will have a doctor that knows me.

I'm one of those people that other people hate, I wake up content if not happy most of the time and would be the first person at work to happily say Good Morning in a cheery way.

@rebelann ........that is great that you can be that way on a daily basis. I have lived with major depression most of my life so, for me, that isn't the case.

That song is from 1966 but I have no idea if it ever reached other countries as that band is from California and never became a big hit like the Beatles or the Rolling Stones did back then

Hmmm, I'll have to listen to it again, I didn't hear that when I was listening to it ........ it's been years since I last heard this song. Oh good grief, you meant the photo. To put it in a nice way he cannot couple.
