Another low electric bill I am in shock!

So, the bill that has to be paid in July is here, and obviously must have cut off around June 15 since none of the hot weather AC use was on it. That means the bill in August will probably be catacylsmic. Anyway, I will enjoy the low bill next month. It will be super. Maybe I can save some for Augusts undoubtedly budget buster bill. How's your's doing?

I’m not sure, but I should probably check! It must not have too bad for it not to have registered. Congratulations on your low one though. That’s a big deal!

@snowy22315 My dad is ridiculously proud of his low bill. He makes it a game, and meanwhile I go get a wet washcloth at his house because I burn in there. He’ll give a stranger money, he’ll take someone out to dinner, but he won’t run the air conditioner until he can’t take it anymore. He says it’s fun to see how long he can take the heat. Every once in awhile, Diana will override him, and she’ll turn on the air, but not often.

@AmbiePam No offense but your dad is weird. He isn't the only one though i have heard if others doing similar things.A home is supposed to be a haven, not s torture chamber.

my June bill will be less as compared to May...as AC usage has come down due to heavy rains...

We had a very cool and wet may here, allowing the bill to be less.

It looks like there could be a hurricane developing in the Atlantic, if we get that...probably won't need AC, but sometimes it can really humid..so it depends.

@snowy22315 Jun-July-Aug is rainy season here, for us little use of AC in these 3 months...but Mar-Apr-May it impacts electricity bill

Ours has been staying steadily the same. It will until winter gets here and then it will go way up.

I always use the most electricity in the summer. I have space heaters so don't usually use that much in the way of whole house heat in the winter. In the summer although I have fans, it still gets quite hot in here.

Our electricity bills have been low lately as the government keeps handing out rebates for senior citizens.

We changed a few months ago to a deal where we pay a small amount each month ... this will go up based on our usage next year ....not looking forward to that.

Winter was fierce. For the first time in years, my HEAP (Home Energy Assistance Program) allotment was blown through by Spring. I was shocked to find that I owed money in May. Usually, there is nothing until October, the the HEAP replenishes in November. I am not looking forward to seeing the bill after the heatwave we just had.

I am doing well, we do not use a lot of electricity. Mainly it's the oven, the induction stove and the computers.

We have to dig deeper in to our pockets so that we can have extra money for emergency use.

I have a feeling that our bill will be going up soon. The weather has been getting warm and warmer and more warmer lately and not going to get any better. Now with the hubby getting the traffic control job he's probably going to want our room AC on almost all the time.

Yep, we haven't even hit the hottest part of the year yet. I just hope if there is another heatwave it is closer to the September time frame, because since the days are shorter, and the humidity is less they never seem as bad.

@snowy22315 I don't want a heat wave at all lol. I know we'll probably get it around August or September though. I'm hoping for cook birthday weather because now that he has this job we're actually talking about taking a day trip out to McKay's in Knoxville for my bday.

We pay for our energy before we use it so we never ever have an energy bill. Our smart meter tells us how much we are using and we always know how much credit we have Out apartment is cheap to beat anyway as it is quite compact and very well insulated. Hope it isn't as bad for you in August as you think it might be

I am guess to mating 238 but it could well be above or below that. Anything under 200 would be a blessing

@Ineeddentures It could be. Time will tell. I think my highest was 236 and that was not using as much AC as I have this time. My electric company has this energy rebate program if you don't use much during peak hours, but I did it last year. All I got was like a quarter or 50 cents or something..crazy!
