Tending the tomatoes ....flowers and fruit a coming

Just been outside to help Mom put new canes on the tomato plants. We had originally just put in half length canes as at the time the plants were not very tall. Now they have grown and needed taller canes. There are loads of little cherry tomatoes on all three of the plants now and also loads of flowers, which means more tomatoes in time. Thinking of trying a few more things to grow next year .... any suggestions .....

My daughter and I use a lot of bell peppers (sweet peppers) in our cooking, along with tomatoes and onions. All three are good to grow yourself if you have the room in your garden to grow them. (We buy green onions or bunch onions, use the tops of them in the cooking and plant the bulbs in pots on the front porch and just clip the tops off of them all summer long without needing to buy more of them. As long as you water them, the tops will keep growing until late fall.)

That's great that the tomatoes are doing so well. I always liked growing butternut pumpkins as they are easy to grow and the pumpkins keep for ages.
