The challenge of mowing

It is quite hot outside, but the grass is still wet underneath, so it clumps up under the deck of the mower. Bob has it set up to mulch and I am sure that is part of the problem.
It drags a bit as well, because the grass is wet.
Periodically I clean out under the deck with a plastic yard tool and it helps. I am taking a break and will go back out front after lunch and resting.
Bob has gone to our Social Security Office to order a new card. He cannot find his and he has to have a physical card for ID for his new job. That is about a 75 minute drive one way. I made him take the car with the best air conditoning.
I will post about the job later, it is really not much, but it is a foot in the door and he will enjoy being out in the public again. It is a merchandising job.
Right now I need to rest as it is already in the mid eighty degree range. Yes, I am staying hydrated. I know with a lot of sweat you need more than just water, so I have a mix of apple juice and tonic water, hoping to stave off muscle spasms.
I think I will go see what you guys have written.

Isn't it a pain. And it keeps on raining before I can really catch up.

Don't forget you can drink some pickle juice if you do start cramping...
We were at 84F earlier today but, as soon as it started raining, the temp dropped to 72F. We still have 90% humidity, though. I heard someone mowing a little while ago. I don't know how they're mowing in the rain. The grass here is sopping wet.

I know, pickle juice. I do not like having to get up and get it in the middle of the night, but I sure will.

@GardenGerty I haven't needed to drink pickle juice in years... but yes, it was a pain in the tush to get up and get some if I had muscle cramps during the night.

I just do a bit here and there. I should mow a little every day.

It seems to rain every second or third day and if I wait too long I will never catch up.

75 minutes one way is a long drive. I thought Bob was retired. I had no idea that he still wanted to work. I hope you and Bob have a good weekend.

That's good news about Bob getting a job if that's what he wants. Our mower used to clog up too if the grass was even a bit damp.
