Last night, they did the MRCP, it is an MRI with contrast for the whole abdomen. The doctor decided on this procedure because in my nephew's last ultrasound, it showed that a stone was stuck on the gallbladder neck. The doctors wanted to determine if there were stones in the ducts outside the gallbladder or if the stones were intact inside the gallbladder. This is to decide on which procedure they will do.
They found out that the stone stuck on the gallbladder neck was not there anymore, there were also no stones on the duct and they are inside the gall bladder. The pain last night also lessened as per my sister.
The doctors will do a laparoscopic cholecystectomy after the liver profiling, which will have the result maybe today or tomorrow. The doctor said the liver is a little swollen, probably caused by the gallstones.
At least now it is sure that it is just the gall bladder. Hopefully the procedure can be scheduled soon.

I'm told doctors remove the galbladder to remove the stone. I don't have any idea about it

They have learned a lot from their imaging and that is good. It may be that that stone was passing and causing a lot of his pain.
