Just checked the bank account and yup the money has been deposited. I will have to check the mail later today to get the pay stubs so I can see what the summer savings is and what the tutoring/coverages was. To be clear--as a teacher I do not get "paid" during the summer when I don't work. I voluntarily have 10% of my post-deduction pay held back by the district as "summer savings" and then they send it to me in 4 installments over July and August. I already earned it. It isn't new income. The funny thing is that I actually get more deposited over the summer when I'm napping and at the pool than when I'm actively working. That is because they don't take anything like medical, pension, summer savings, disability, union dues, etc. out since it has all already been paid. In any case my checking account is happy again this morning. I am too.

That's a good idea to spread your savings out over the year rather than you have to go several months without an income.
