Okay, so you don't really need a special day to make tuna pasta salad , or indeed anything else.
It's just something that I used to make a lot and now I rarely seem to make it at all.
My Mom has dropped several hints and especially now I am staying with her .....although to be fair she will be the one making it, under my close supervision of course !
We have decided that we will have it next week. I tend to make enough for 2 or 3 days anyway, so it will keep us going for our lunches throughout the week.
I use tinned tuna, tomatoes, cucumber, sweetcorn, pasta and mayo.
Whats your favourite pasta salad ....

@Traceyjayne Here, it's a form of "salad dressing," but not like you'd put on, say, a garden salad. It's basically a mayonnaise with spices and flavors added to it. People put it on sandwiches, and make potato salads and pasta salads with it. Very good. But it's one of those things where it's a love it or hate it kind of thing. Some people swear by mayo. Others swear by Miracle Whip and there are few that are in between.

I actually think shrimp pasta salad is the best, but I have to make it myself.
Most places that make it sneak fish into it, and I am allergic to fish. Fish makes my neck choke up a bit and burns all the way through my body. This includes tuna, which I also do not like the smell or taste of.
But for some reason I can eat shrimp or lobster tail with no reaction. Must be a different enough animal. Shrimp pasta salad with cream, cheese, pasta, and spices? Delicious.

@Traceyjayne I actually don't have a time of it unless I am going to a seafood or fish restaurant. I permanently avoid those.
My boyfriend has a gluten allergy, so it's a minefield and a half trying to find something he can eat, though. Our favorite place to eat out is now the organic health food store because all the gluten-free stuff is labeled as such and all the ingredients are on the packages. No surprises.

I don't like pasta salads. I either want the pasta hot or not at all.
Sometimes I do make beef, turkey or chicken salad to use as sandwich spread. I've been craving turkey salad on potato bread lately but we can't get any turkey right now. (Chicken salad or beef salad is almost as good but Pretty won't eat any of them... So I have to be SURE I really want it before making it. Since it has mayo in it, I can't freeze it for later and it only stays good for three or four days in the fridge.)

It sounds good, I love pasta salads. I made tuna salad this morning, it tasted good to me in this hot weather.

I think boiled eggs
But that will not come as any surprise
When I make a salad it's only enough for one day as I couldn't eat it 2.or 3.dsys in a row
