Hair of the Dawg has its first gig at a local brewery this forthcoming Sunday. Wish us luck/skill! I am not even sure what we'll be paid, perhaps $200 plus unlimited beer. Maybe we'll put a tip jar out as well..I dunno.
I just e-signed a contract fora December 15 Christmas gig. We'll be doing mostly Christmas songs for that one. It's a private party being thrown by a local Quilters Guild. Could be a rough crowd.
At Guitar Center, I have been teaching my piano students to improvise over seventh chords. It's easy to do, and it sounds like jazz.
That's about it from here.I have only six students this afternoon,so I should survive.

I've just finished Willie Nelson's autobiography. It was a fascinating read and mentioned dozens of musicians I'd never heard of before @FourWalls' discussions. Good luck with the gig.

@TheHorse He is an old singer. Though he comes from South of India, he has sung many Hindi songs in Bollywood in 70s and 80s. Very melodious voice!!
This one is from a movie in 1976. He is the playback singer here.
