A shrouded tree

I’ve written about Kokerbin Hill which is slightly north of a tiny town called Kwolyn. The natural vegetation is what I’d call open grassland. There is plenty of vegetation but it’s easy walking to wind your way through it. There were some man-made paths and also tracks made by the native wildlife of the area. While we were in the region near the rock, I saw this lovely tree. It looks like it’s covered with cobwebs but I think it’s just dead creeper. It’s certainly not cobwebs. And do you think it looks a bit like a lion's head, facing to the right? I seem to have a lot of photos of trees. I hope you like them as much as I do.

It does look like a head. But I do not see it looks like a lion's head.

The ears are wrong for a lion. Maybe a dog of some description?

Yes, it definitely looks like an animal with a mane. I love anything that’s beautiful, so keep those tree photos coming!

We saw some really lovely trees on our travels. I really need to learn which is which. They have such different colours.

@JudyEv — I know enough about trees to say “that’s a tree.” I understand.

Yes, a lion's head with his mouth open in his walking grunts... I always like looking at vegetation... If you looked through all the photos I've ever taken, most of them are plants of some type.

It's wet and cold here but that's okay. We don't have to go out.

The first time I saw it, it gave me the impression that it was like dried moss that covered a tree. But upon closer inspection I see that it is like a grass that covered the tree branches and dried off over time.

It seems covered by a sort of dry moss. It looks a lot like a lion's head.

I love trees. I didn't notice the animal at first. I just thought it was unusual for it to be covered like this.
