Paul McCartney said he was about 16 when he wrote this song, and he’d just gotten over the flu. The one thing he didn’t have to say is that the Everly Brothers influenced the harmonies in the bridge.
This song isn’t two minutes long, but it seems like it transports you for hours.

I think they are well known everywhere. They were certainly lightning in a bottle when it comes to talent and popularity.
