So many apples on the tree ….bring on the pies and crumbles

So, as usual I have come home for the weekend as The Mister is back from work. I had a little potter in the garden and I am amazed at how many apples we have on the tree and they are getting quite large now. Of course they are not ready to be picked yet but I am getting excited at the thought of all the pies and more so the crumbles that I am going to be able to make. I usually manage to pick plenty of wild growing blackberries to so they will be added too. I love cooking and using ingredients that are free is great. Do you go foraging ?

You are so lucky that you have apples growing and that you'll be able to pick them, make pies and those delicious crumbles. Unfortunately I don't have any apple trees on my property but we do have farms nearby where you can go apple picking. I haven't done it in a few years but it was fun to do with the grandkids.
