Australia once had a weekly paper called the Australasian Post. One of the features of the magazine was the cartoons penned by Ken Maynard. The cartoons featured a pub called the Etamogah, named after an area in New South Wales that was very popular with Maynard.
Several pubs were built in the style of the cartoon pub, including one at Cunderdin in Western Australia. We didn’t go in but I think behind the façade is a big barn-type area. We’ll try to go there next time we’re in the region. The spelling differs depending on which website you look up. In Cunderin, the spelling is Ettamogah.

Looks like a cool pub there. Seems like the cartoon was very popular to inspire so many pubs to be named and designed after it.
We had R K Laxman's cartoon on our daily newspaper that was popular in each household. His common man inspires so many things including recent memes.

The pub looks interesting. I would love to visit it if I have a chance.
