There's No "I" in Team

Sometimes people can really turn something on its head, but in a very real and funny way. Take the phrase we so often say with great confidence when someone is not wanting to be a team player.
"You know, there's no "I" in team," we say.
I was having some difficulty getting one of my forklift drivers, when I was in management at Coke, to assist another driver with making a few extra bays for his line.
Kenny was working the bottle line and Ray was working the can line, and Ray was a little behind due to a lack of bays to put the finished pallets of product.
I gave him that ever-famous line, to which Kenny replied very boldly back to me, "There ain't no WE in team, either!"
I paused. He was right, you know.

I actually agree with him... I always hated it when I worked faster than someone else but was then told we're a team so I should help them out. I told the team lead that what he was actually saying was I needed to work at a slower pace, like everyone else.
For some reason, he wasn't happy and threatened to write me up... I agreed to a write up and slowed down.
