Out to set a record

I’ve written before about the Bibbulman track which is a 1,000 km walking trail from Kalamunda in the Perth hills to Albany on the south coast. Some years ago, we supported a friend who walked it. Now, our niece’s son is attempting to break the record for ‘running’ the track. He hopes to do 100kms a day for ten days. Any money he raises will go towards providing shoe/boot-cleaning stations along the way. The cleaning stations are intended to help prevent the spread of a disease called ‘die-back’ which is threatening our native forests. The photo is of part of the Bibbulman.

60 miles a day for 10 days is doable. Good luck to him for the record attempt.

@JudyEv You're very welcome. Oh, that's a shame! I hope the people who pledged money still donated it for the intended purpose. He TRIED to do the run!

I think that 100 kms in one day is a lot and I do not know if someone can do this during 10 days. I wish good luck to your niece’s son.

He has hurt his knee so the record attempt is off for the moment. The record has been held by a girl for the last three years.

This is a real challenge Perhaps he can take videos on the way and many people can also see how it's like.
