So, I had my phone call appointment with Occupational Health this morning .
Usual questions, what happened, what treatment are you undergoing, when do you think you may return to work …..
I was able to tell her that since being off sick, my workplace told me over the phone that when I return my role will be different.
The lady told me today that they can’t do that ….i should return to my role and they should have a meeting with me then and give me 90 days of any changes !
We will see what happens about that.
Neither of us think that I will be able to return after the holidays, in September so I will have another meeting so re assess the situation.
All in all the meeting went well, she was a nice, kind and understanding person.
Just got to wait for the report to come and see what the situation is with my arm in September.

I'm glad that you liked her. Hopefully everything works out with your job and they follow the rules that they need to follow.

I hope that they will. I love my job and would wish to continue with it.

@Traceyjayne That's always good. You don't always get to work the job you love or love the job you have. That alone should make you valuable as if you don't like what you do, the quality of work suffers usually.

Oh, that meeting went better than I was anticipating with her! I'm also wondering if they'll adhere to the 90 days before changing your status. I hope she's correct.
Good luck with everything!

Thank you. She went on to say that it will probably be 12 months before my arm is completely back to normal , so they should leave me in my current role til then. The hospital have said that timescale too. We will see what happens …I won’t hold my breath. She was nice and I think she will help all she can.

@Traceyjayne I wondered about that when you first remarked on the timescale but didn't want to say anything in case I was misremembering something.
You're very welcome.

Hope things don't change at your job and if they do you are okay with the changes.
