Update my turtles

I think my turtles grow well and now they are bigger. I grew more different plants as turtles like this kind of environment. Of course there are spray water and solar fan. When the sun comes, then the fan will be on. It makes sense to have some winds to cool down when it's hot The turtles recognize me now and they are happy when they see me as it means I'll bring them some food. They especially like eating shrimps and lychees

Enjoy your turtles. I had turtles once as a kid. Sadly, they didn't live very long.

I experienced it. Some can live really long, so just live for a short time. I have two turtles and we started to raise them when I was a child. Now they are very big and live at my parents' home.

@youless I have two were big and too big so I asked my temple to give them a home which the temple agrees so they now reside in the temple pond with other turtles.

Lychee for turtle? Seriously lol. Last time when I have turtle (They are actually Red-band tortoise). Whenever I change water for them, I will feed them by hand dry shrimps and vegetable, they will always eat it. They do recongnise their owners.

In fact not only lychees. I tried banana but they are not interested in it. They also like watermelon but now they like lychees much more At the beginning I tried vegetables but they didn't like it at all. They also didn't like turtle food and I had to feed to fish. I give them steamed shrimps and they are crazy to it

@id_peace Dry shrimps are also good. As long as the turtles like eating them, it's already good enough

@youless You are a way better owner than I am. I give them those dry shrimps that we can find in our provision shops.

What a nice group. I never had a turtle as a pet. I had a salamander once though.

Good to know about their growth. Do you live in an area nearby Sea or Rivers? How do the turtles cope when it is hot as well as humid?

Not at all. I just have them in a little tank at home. Turtles like hot and humid weather. Perhaps this type likes this. In winter they will hibernate.

@youless You got these from a market or special place? I have seen such an arrangement for the first time.

I think they grow up fast. Now the tank seems to be small to them. Hard to believe that I may have to upgrade their environment soon

@DaddyEvil You are right. At the beginning this tank was suitable. But then I started to grow more plants and the turtles are fed up well, now it seems to be smaller

@youless All babies grow up... You'll have more room for plants in a bigger tank.
