I have a broken part on my dishwasher. It isn't something I can fix..but I will see if it is something that can be ordered. This is something my son could install if I couldn't. It may need more than one part since the water didn't drain out either. A dishwasher is a must around here. It better not take a long time to get back into the DW business. Hopefully YouTube can help. I might have the original book that came with it too

I am always amazed by dishwasher. We never have a chance to use this equipment as most families in my countries find this machine wasteful

It's not wasteful. It uses less water than washing dishes by hand.

@snowy22315 I asked for one and my parents told me I can exercise by washing the dishes. Buying the machine is a cost and you will become lazy. So no machine.

I wish you good luck. I finally used my dish washer Thursday afternoon after my guests were gone. I am glad to say that it works.

@snowy22315 - I do not know when I will use my DW again, but I know it's there to use when I have guests.

I have sent friend off to the parts store this morning before they close. With luck, and a lot of luck, he will be able to bring the right part down tomorrow.

I know, it is annoying! It is more eco friendly to have a dishwasher as well.

My dishwasher hasn't been used since my husband was away. I don't make enough dishes to fill it up. I hope you can fix yours.

hope so, BTW I ran it last night it seemed to do a decent job even without the part. I think I was able to remove all the standing water. Dishes are one thing I always have.

Hope that it is fixed soon. Here, dishwashers are getting popular slowly. But still most households are without it.

One thing I hate is being without a DW. I won't stand for it, I tell ya!!. The oven was bad enough, but at least there were workarounds with that..and I finally got it fixed.

I wouldn't like to be without mine, especially if we have people over for a meal.
