This is our neighborhood in West Virginia. There was a beautiful visitor walking through the neighborhood the other morning. I love that my friends and neighbors post these sightings. I can’t wait until we live there full time. I live in a very rural area in Mississippi most of the year, but there is more wildlife in our West Virginia neighborhood. Do you have much wildlife where you live ?

My neighborhood in Lake Charles does not have wildlife. Just birds and squirrels in the neighborhood resting on the electrical wires of the telephone and lights.

We had visitors like that for a long time when we loved out in the sticks
Not much wildlife in our town where we live now
But our house, well any house in the town in only 2 minutes from the countryside..
Loads of wildlife Foxes, Deer, Badgers,

Oddly there is more wildlife in the West Virginia city than the Mississippi country.

I saw a buck here in the hood just the other day. I also saw the back end of a deer running away today. They seem to show up here about 7 Am and 7 PM. I will try going out today then and see if I find one.

@Tampa_girl7 It would be even better if I had my camera ready.

That is a really beautiful picture and it looks like he is posing for the camera.
We have lots of deer here but I've never seen a buck close up like that.

They seem to have no fear. We have them in our yard almost daily when we are there.

Just now
The area around my house belongs to the forest department but we can find only snakes, mongoose and a variety for birds.

Not here in my country, but in Wyoming, I laughed when I read the sign on a pedestrian that said: 'Watch out for deer.'
'Is that real?' I asked my aunt. 'Oh, yes,' she said. 'Cars are alert for deer crossing, but not for pedestrians crossing.'
That made me laugh my heart out.

It is a majestic creature. In the past, there were squirrels but now it is rare that we can catch them.

What a pretty deer! We live in the country, but we don't see as much wildlife anymore.

We don't have much at all now. Imagine seeing this outside your front door. I'd be really excited.

What a gorgeous deer. We are gradually being built up here. We do have deer, fox, turkeys and an occasional bear!!
