Seal the Deal.

Almost.
What I mean is the dormitory unit/condo unit.
Yesterday we went out in the rain to see one unit and we liked it and we made a reservation for it. The deal is made through an agent. This morning, the agent called me and the owner is asking for a lot of requirements from us just to make sure we are going to pay for the unit. Even the agent was taken aback by the owner's gesture because she had already explained to us what we needed and the requirements we needed to submit. But the owner is asking for more requirements. And the agent has been doing this for the longest time. The owner is new to rentals, but I am still not sure if they are amenable to this kind of thing.
We are still waiting for the owner's confirmation if we will push through this or not.
This is not the first one we talked to, the lady owner of the first dorm unit we saw haven't replied to us yet that is why we are looking for other options. And then this happens.

NBI, police clearance, proof of billing, COE
It was extremely annoying honestly The agent already returned the keys to their unit and told them that they can just find their own tenants since they won't be able to look for tenants with such requirements

Oh, my! That's really strange that she'd make more requirements after telling the agent her requirements... Are the new requirements reasonable, at least? Remember, if something goes wrong, you'll be stuck traveling back to the dorm/apartment to straighten things out...
I think I'd keep looking and tell the agent to tell the woman you'll let her know if you'll agree later. You MIGHT lose the deal but she doesn't sound like she wants to rent the place after all, anyway and may be a pain in the tush to deal with over the next year.

@rakski I was afraid of that. You'll find something for her... Don't worry.

The requirements aren't reasonable. It seems like a newbie applying for work. The agent already returned the keys to their unit and told them that they can just find their own tenants since they won't be able to look for tenants with such requirements

Oh dear it sounds to me that they could be a nightmare landlord. I would steer clear of them! Good luck with your search & I hope you get something nice for you!

Iy sounds uncertain. I think you have still time to find. I wonder why there are so many requirements. What's that a sale?

@rakski ours is different here. No contract signing. No paperwork. Just a verbal agreement to the rentsl fees and taking care of the property.

She's is very cautious to the point that it already becomes too annoying.
The apartment where I lived before just asked for one month advance and one month deposit and didn't ask for additional requirements.
