The top ten starts tomorrow, with a few surprises and a lot of things that you would normally expect from me.
As for today, we’re closing out the alphabetical side of the sunny list with one of the songs that I hope came to mind when I said “we’re doing songs with sun in the title.” Here’s today’s song.
You Are the Sunshine of My Life - Stevie Wonder
Let’s face it: there’s not a lot to say. Stevie Wonder’s 60-plus year career speaks for itself. There’s something for everyone in his catalog. The other day I heard “You Haven’t Done Nothing,” a funky tune with the Jackson Five backing him.
Here you have an absolutely beautiful love song. And, just to show how diverse Wonder’s portfolio is, this song was released between “Superstition” and “Higher Ground.” Both “Superstition” and this one reached #1, showing how much we loved Wonder’s diverse portfolio.

I was thinking about that episode of the Cosby show he was on while I was typing this yesterday, and then they announced that Malcolm-Jamal Warner drowned.
I’ll ignore the comment at the end.

@FourWalls You have to know, regarding the comment at the end, you left that door so wide open there was NO WAY I wasn't barreling right on through it. lol But yes, very sad about Warner. Way too young.

Yes, yes and yes. I already told you about seeing him at Leo's Casino in the late 60s.

Yes! He was probably legally too young to be there still at that age.
(Not the first time, I’ve read lots of stories of musicians lying about their ages to get gigs.)
