Like any other vegetable cabbage also has some nutrition. I am not fond of cabbage but enjoy it when made into a salad I grate the cabbage and marinate it in salt for a while Squeeze out the liquid and then add curds mixed in mustard paste, sliced onions, chopped chilies, chopped coriander leaves How do you make your cabbage to taste good?

That sounds very tasty. I enjoy it a variety of ways. I like it boiled with salt, pepper and a bit of bacon probably the best.

I do like cabbage eaten raw, just peeling leaves off it and munching them... I also fry ground pork with diced onions, grated garlic and spices, then dice up a cabbage and pour the fried meat, some bone broth and veggies over the cabbage and heat the second pot until everything is simmering well. I make a big pot of that, eat two or three meals from the pot and freeze the rest in individual servings so Pretty can microwave it for a lunch or dinner when I can't see to make my own food. It is delicious!

I have never eaten a raw cabbage but your dish with cabbage will taste good as the cabbage will take the taste of all that is there in the dish

Your cabbage salad sounds tasty—especially with the curds and mustard paste combo! I’m not the biggest cabbage fan either, but with the right mix of flavors, it can really shine. I usually stir-fry it with garlic and a bit of soy sauce or toss it into soups for texture. Here in the Philippines, we use cabbage in dishes like ginisang repolyo (sautéed cabbage with garlic, onions, and sometimes pork), lumpiang gulay (vegetable spring rolls), and pancit (stir-fried noodles). It’s also added to soups like nilaga (boiled beef soup) and bulalo (beef marrow stew) for a subtle sweetness. Simple veggie, but super versatile!

I think it tastes ok without adding all sorts of stuff to it So we shred it, blanche it, drain it, add butter, salt and pepper and serve as a side dish
