Ponta Verde Beach Florida resident Edward McClamma woke up on Sunday morning June 22 to find an alligator swimming inside of his pool which scared him. The alligator made its way to the swimming pool's entry steps when Edward contacted officers from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (FWC) who sent a trapper to remove the alligator from the swimming pool and relocate the animal to another area safely. We have alligators and crocodiles here in Jamaica but in one specific area. I’ve never actually seen one outside of the zoo and do not want to. Yes - I am that scared of them.

When officers from FWC arrived, they surveyed the situation and asked the owner what was the alligator doing in his pool? Edward responded with "It appears to be swimming."

Perhaps more secure alligator proof fences are needed around pools there, to prevent this from happening, as some careless people just jump into their pool, without checking for swimming alligators in there too, and such a person could easily have ended up as alligator breakfast.
