Do You Mind People Tagging You in Social Media?

I'm not on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or any other social networking platform.
My friend that I travel with has a rule to not tag her in any photos so that people don't know she's out of town because she lives alone and doesn't want anybody breaking into her house.
Gen Z is upset that Baby Boomers upload vacation, reunion, and family celebration photos and tag everybody in them. Gen Z says an unwanted tag is like graffiti or being photo-bombed.
Do you ask people before you post something with them in it or tag them?

I don't use any social media besides MyLot. I had my fill of those places and by 2021, I had deleted every profile except this one.
Tagging wasn't very big as far as I remember but there were people that didn't like to be tagged. Anytime I got tagged, it was more to share a meme they thought I'd like.
I understand why people don't like being tagged where they have revealed personal information or location, or that they are on vacation. The internet is thick with people that would take advantage of that kind of information.

It's long time that I have met my friends and relatives and don't mind if some of my friends tag me with their post.

I hardly ever post anything; and it's usually a greeting for a holiday or birthday. I have never tagged anyone.

Generally people do not tag me. I do tag squirrels for my brother. Occasionally something uplifting for my daughter. I am pretty private, I think.

I would have to agree with Gen Z, I don't like being a tag in
anything for any reason, that's how people find you & do
things that shouldn't be done there's too many crazies in
the world these days.

@looeyville I eschew social media so I have no knowledge of what you’re talking. I prefer the real world rather than playing Facebook etc.
