...an elderly man. Five months have passed since this elderly man abandoned his family because to a young man. The simple fact that I am friends with them. In essence, the young man is requesting that the older man to end their relationship now. The married man's destruction of his life and the premature termination of the love he believed would last forever made me feel horrible.
Do you think love is unfair?

Indeed. Since I am not talking with this married man, some of our friends tried to give essential advice for what will be the outcome. He just ignored them and fought for it. You might wonder why I did not talk to him. It is because he is jealous of me and thought that the young man likes me, which I think he does.

It's a shame the older man abandoned his family for the young man... It's good the young man realized this and asked for the relationship to be terminated.
Love is often unfair.

@Shavkat Of course not... People never listen to what's good for them. They have to figure it out themselves.
I'm sorry you were caught in the mess.

@DaddyEvil I heard that this old man told the young one that he is free to love me. See, that is the reason why I did not attempt to call his attention in person.

Love can definitely feel unfair sometimes, especially when it leads to hurt and broken relationships. In this case, it seems like emotions were intense but decisions may not have been well thought out. When love causes pain instead of joy, it’s natural to question its fairness—but perhaps it’s not love itself that’s unfair, but the choices people make in its name.

@Shavkat That’s truly heartbreaking. You did what a real friend would do—warn with care and concern. It’s painful to witness someone walk into a situation blind to the damage it can cause. Love, when unchecked by wisdom, can lead to such irreversible consequences. And it’s often those with the most to lose who end up paying the highest price.

It is a heartbreaking tale about falling in love without foreseeing the true consequences. As a friend, I tried my best to call the attention of this young man to it. The sad part is, he did not listen to me. I did not try to talk with the other one because he is really madly in love, and I am sure he will not listen, either. Now, the married man lost his family and reputation in the eyes of people around him. Unlike the young man, nothing was lost on his part.
